Sunbeam: A Century of Speed

May 25, 2022 @ 7:30 pm

Join us in Wolverhampton to celebrate the anniversary of a car built in the city setting the world land speed record.

Almost 100 years to the day of the record, we celebrate Sunbeam’s achievement a short distance away from where the machine itself was built, in the city of Wolverhampton.

Join Sunbeam Club archivist, Paul Hutton, as we look back on the history of this once cutting-edge company and its enduring appeal a century later.

This is the inaugural meeting of the Museum of Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire Trust. Come along and find out more about our purpose and mission, as well as learning about the legendary Sunbeam.

Facilities

The venue has free parking, but space is somewhat limited and thus car sharing is extremely helpful if at all possible. The venue is served by a regular bus route, the number 16 to/from Stourbridge.

Tea, coffee and cake are available at the venue for a small donation.

Toilet facilities are available and the venue is wheelchair accessible/located on the ground floor.
